Hi everyone! Long time, no journal D:

I’ve been very busy during December, and not to mention that NOW, the family’s computer is ……. a piece of shit. It won’t start :/ I have no idea when I can go on MSN and stuff like normal My brother connected his computer downstairs but I rarely use it because he’s playing Football Manager 2009 or something, and I don’t want to be pushy. So I just decided to write this journal in my computer, and by using a … what’s it called again, that little thing you can use to move data around, I’ll post it by using his computer And now I decided to tell y’all about December so far.

Right as I’m writing, I’m enjoying a Christmas present of mine The Simpsons season 11, and I am on the 3rd disc, and I’m watching “ygmoelian” WITH commentary , I LOVE watching The Simpsons episodes with commentary. I’ve watched every season that is out with commentary. I guess it’s a hobby of mine.
I’ve also been enjoying, and loving, my 5 manga novels I got (Inuyasha book 35, One Piece 19, Ouran High School Host Club 11, Skip-Beat! 15 and a new one my mom decided to buy (and which I like) called We Were There (bokura ga ita)), the novel Twilight <333 (Ljósaskipti in Icelandic ), the movies Kung Fu Panda, What Happens in Vegas, You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, Horton (Hears a Who), 2 seasons of Futurama and the anime movie Porco Rosso. OH! I also got the game Turok on PS4.… I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv it! DINOS! DD Right now I’m supposed to kill some….. Sea serpent thing :/ I think I’m getting the hang of it how to kill it, dunno. Anywho……………………………

FIRST TO THE TWENTIETH OF DECEMBER

I remember when I was telling Mona ( =fleur-de-soleil )about school ending on 28th of November, the last 2 weeks (1st to 14th Dec) are test weeks. 17th we get our grades, and on 7th of January school starts again. (4th Jan we get our schedules, and book lists). She seemed rather miffed by this, “there’s must be a catch” she said. I guess the only catch is that we need to work harder, XD

I had to take 3 tests out of 7 during those two weeks. In French, English and P.E. The other I didn’t need to take because I had passed the “constant evaluation” thing they used. :/ IF French and English were those kind of classes I wouldn’t have to have had to take those tests neither. XD Because I got a 9.9 grade average in French (kept getting a 9.8 on 3 chapter exams and 2 tens), and around 9.8 in English.
Grades are evaluated in a way like “the semester= 50%, Christmas test 50%” or something or another. If you got a grade of 8 or higher (Icelandic grade system: 0 is the lowest, 10 is the highest) in some courses you could skip the Christmas exam.
The exams I skipped were in Icelandic, Social Studies, Danish and Math (I KNOW! MATH! ._. I got a friggin‘ 10 ON MY FINAL MATH EXAM D: I almost had a cardiac arrest! )

On August 17th we retrieved our grades. Me and my brother did great! I was so happy for my brother, because our teachers in “grunnskóli” (ages 6 to 16) were NOT good teachers (like our English teacher just sat in her chair and giggled all the time) and he didn’t do any good there : ( but NOW he’s doing great! Thanks to the awesome teachers in “menntaskóli”(ca. 16 to 20, but there are older students, in their 40’s and everything) !!!

I was surprised at my grades ._. I went like “……….really?!” Here they are==

MATH: 9
ICELANDIC: 10
SOCIAL STUDIES: 8
DANISH: 9
ATTENDANCE: 10
FRENCH: 10
P.E.: 8
ENGLISH: 10
I got friggin’ four 10s D: FOUR! Gaaaaaaaaah~
Man, I’m lookin’ forward to next semester XD Can’t stop thinking about it. *sigh*

I think it was on September 18th/19th when me and Lilja ( ~BleedingxOut ) went to Kringlan, bought a gift for our friend ( ~atlanticgirl ) and went to see Twilight. I LOVED it! XD Lilja too, of course. She’s a BIG fan of the books. *sigh* Edward Cullen <333333

TWENTY-THIRD OF DECEMBER//ÞORLÁKSMESSA

We went to my aunt’s (and basically all of mom’s side of the family) for “skata” (which technically is a manta ray). Yummy. I bet a lot of your are going “ew”. XD It was good, fun and I met a lot of my family Sometimes family “reunions” aren’t that fun, but once in a blue moon it’s delightful.


Well, I’m not entirely sure what to write more about now, so I guess I’ll see you laterh~~
